The Rockland Business Association (RBA) begins 2014 with an exciting new development to their Technology Initiative. The RBA, which has been a leader in providing technology information and resources to the local Rockland community, will move their monthly Technology Initiative meetings to the newly-refurbished Rockland Community College (RCC) Haverstraw Business Center.
Superior Technology Solutions, alongside provider Atlantic – Tomorrow’s Office, the RBA began the Technology Initiative, aiming to educate their 1,100 business members on new and evolving technologies to benefit business.
The first meeting at the new Haverstraw Business Center location will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The meeting will include a panel discussion regarding new hardware updates and refreshes, and a discussion on Windows XP and Office 2003 going out of support on April 8, 2014. The RCC Business Center is located at 37 W. Broad St., Haverstraw, NY, 10927.
The RCC Business Center was completely renovated and expanded in direct support of Gov. Cuomo’s NY Works and Start Up NY Initiatives, the same program which influenced the start of the RBA’s Technology Initiative in 2013.
The Center now offers on-site business services and technology, including advanced manufacturing design equipment, 3-D prototyping and CAD. With available workstations to support and advance new and existing businesses in the region, the RCC Business Center is an ideal space for the RBA Tech Committee to discuss the evolving technology industry.
To RSVP to the first meeting on January 15th, please visit the RBA website at www.rocklandbusiness.org.
